NEAObs: NEA Observation Planning Aid

Use the form below to prepare a list of NEAs suitable for observation according to user-specified criteria that are to be selected from the options below.

For beta-testers: documentation is not yet ready. The only "tricky" part of data entry is that the R.A. limits may be entered as absolute values (e.g., "18 30" or "18.5" to indicate 18h 30m) or as offset values (e.g., "-120" to indicate -120 degrees from opposition or "+60.5" to indicate +60.5 from opposition). There will be a PDF document available at some point in the near future...

You must enable cookies in your browser if you wish the system to remember the values you enter below.

Please note that all observations entered in the form will be considered in the calculation of the NEO Rating. It is your responsibility to remove observations you suspect to be bad before entering them into this form.

If you wish to report the non-functioning of (or errors in) this service, please use this feedback form.

If the form seems to be not working for you, confirm that the default form returns some objects. If it does and you have problems when you try and fill in the form with your own values, be sure to report what values you are entering into the form.
